Vineyard Is A Unique Place To Call Home
Vineyard, Utah was a tiny outlying suburb of Orem at the beginning of this decade, with only a few dozen families in a largely undeveloped area. Fast forward to 2017 and the entire city has exploded with development and progress. It is now estimated that the population has grown almost 500%, and could include around 10,000 people by the end of 2017. It is the fastest growing area in the state, and the changes are very exciting.
It began with the building of apartments and townhomes along the southern edge. Just west and north of the original Vineyard founders on Holdaway Road, builders began constructing developments of single family homes of all shapes and sizes. Geneva Road underwent a refresh and reconstruction as Geneva Steel was slowly broken down and businesses began to dot the road from Pleasant Grove down to Provo. Five years ago Geneva Road showed only a restaurant or two, and industrial businesses. Now it features several restaurants, a gym, gas stations, and local small businesses.

The Water’s Edge community is rapidly developing the lakefront area with a variety of different types of homes. There are apartments, condos, townhomes, and single family homes of varying sizes. In addition to these homes, the community is adding several parks, pools, and a waterfront boardwalk edging Utah Lake in coming years. It’s an incredible time to be in Vineyard.
